Football season is already upon us. NFL pre-season is almost over and college football's regular season begins on Thursday. Here's a quick look at the two Memphis college football programs for the 2012 season.
Under the leadership of new coach Justin Fuente, the Memphis Tigers can only expect to improve over last year's 2-10 campaign. Another win or two would be nice for program. Most of the pre-season magazines are picking the Tigers to finish last in C-USA East and until we actually see improvement on the field, it will be hard to disagree with the prognosticators.
The often forgotten college football
team in Memphis is at Rhodes. The NCAA Division III Lynx, should be
competitive in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference under second year coach
head coach Dan Gritti and with 2nd Team Pre-season All-American wide receiver Jack Lartigue.
