Wine Pick: 2004 Lyeth Meritage
I recently had this award-winning wine while watching a football game. It softened the blow of watching the Colts blow out the Saints.
The 2004 Lyeth Meritage (Sonoma) is a Bourdeaux-style blend consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. This ruby red wine had a fruity aroma and the palate was full of berry and vanilla flavors with a long finish. If you are looking to pair this with food, beef or pork is recommended.
