Free concerts continue tonight through Sunday at the Levitt Shell.
Memphest kicks off this weekend at the Mid-South Fairgrounds. There will be rides, fair food and music. Some of the bigger acts this weekend include Bret Michaels on Friday night and Cowboy Mouth on Saturday.
The Mid-South Fair begins its first year in Southaven at the Desoto Civic Center on Friday. In addition to rides and rodeo fun, Brooke Hogan will perform on Friday night.
On Saturday, you can get your dose of Scottish heritage on at the Clamjamfry at Evergreen Presbyterian Church. For some reason ice cold beer and sheep herding are a great combo.
Memphis Tigers will host the Thundering Herd of Marshall at the Liberty Bowl at 11am. The game will be televised regionally on CSS, available locally on Comcast channel 6. Check your local listings for availability. Plenty of tickets are still available.
