Quick Hits: Redbirds, Cordova Food News, Football

The Memphis Redbirds return to action tonight on the road against Sacramento in the finals of the PCL Championship. The Redbirds lead the best of five series 2-0. The winner will advance to the Triple-A championship in Oklahoma City next Tuesday. Good luck boys!

Two new restaurants are coming soon to Cordova. Midtown favorite Soul Fish will open its second Memphis location in November. They are known for tasty catfish, but its hard to stay way from the Soul Fish Cuban sandwich. Slim Skillets, opening in October, will offer fried chicken and sides served family-style.

The Memphis Tigers return to action in the Liberty Bowl this weekend against Tennessee-Martin. Tommy West knows he is in trouble if the losing continues (especially to a FCS school), so he has made a change at quarterback. Will that be enough to get the Tigers by the Skyhawks?
