3D, Saucer Beer Fest, Memphis Football Ranked?, Mofro

Is anyone else getting sick of all of the 3D hype? The occasional movie with 3D technology is great (think Avatar), but I'm not really sure its worth it for 3D tv sets. I'm only familiar with a couple 3D networks. ESPN debuted it their 3D network for the the World Cup over the summer. And the Discovery Channel has also launched a channel. I've even received a couple of magazines with special 3D issues (Maxim featuring Anna Kournikova and Reason). The concept is great, but the glasses are annoying. Are 3D contacts on the way? Once everything has autostereoscopic technology, I might be more interested.

Got an email from the Flying Saucer today. Looks like they are hosting a beer festival on Sunday from noon until 10pm. Football and beer all day at the Saucer. Might not be a bad combination for $20.

Memphis football could be ranked by ESPN this week. Unfortunately, it will most likely be in the ESPN Bottom 10. After last week's embarrassing loss Tulsa, the Tigers should move into rankings from the Waiting List.
