Grizzlies Stumble In Opener, NBA Contraction, Bourbon Tasting

After going undefeated in the preseason, the Memphis Grizzlies dropped the ball when it counted. The Grizzlies lost to the visiting Atlanta Hawks 119-104, bringing their opening game losing streak to 10 games. The Grizz were without Marc Gasol and lost Zac Randolph during the game with an injury. Look at the bright side, they got their first loss out of the way. Now its time to start a winning streak against at the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow night, before returning home on Saturday to face the Minnesota Timberwolves. Plenty of seats are still available for Saturday night.

There have been recent reports that the NBA will request a 33% pay cut for player's salaries and the that NBA is looking a contracting the league. ESPN's Page 2 readers think that the Grizzlies should be the first team to go. Take the poll for what its worth. Page 2 readers also suggested getting rid of the New York Yankees.
