Memphis Basketball Info

The Grizzlies improved to 2-0 in preseason play with a win on the road over the Atlanta Hawks tonight. The Grizzlies regular season tips off at FedEx Forum on October 27 against the Hawks. The most anticipated home game of the year will be November 20, when Lebron James, Dewayne Wade, Chris Bosch and the rest of the Miami Heat come to town. Its pretty safe to say that this game is sold out, but I'm sure you can find tickets here. This year's Grizzlies squad should compete for a playoff seed.

Josh Pastner's club gets the season started with exhibition games against Lemoyne-Owen and Christian Brothers on  November 3 and November 9, respectively. The Tigers first regular season game will be against Centenary on November 12 at FedEx Forum in the Global Sports Challenge.  The Tigers are once again picked to win Conference USA, but they should get a fight from Southern Miss and UAB. Big games for the Tigers this season should be against Miami (November 15),  LSU (November 21 in Tupelo), Kansas (December 7 at Madison Square Garden), Georgetown (December 23), at Tennessee-Knoxville (January 5) and at Gonzaga (February 5).
