Three Angels Update, Corky's, Not So Good Memphis Rankings

Three Angels Diner is now serving alcoholic beverages. Grab an ice cold beer the next time you are there enjoying an adult grilled cheese sandwich with bacon.

Went to Corky's (original location on Poplar) for the first time in a long time yesterday and realized I wasn't missing anything. The service and atmosphere were great, but the pulled pork sandwich was okay at best. The pork had ZERO flavor. Back to BBQ Shop, Central or Cozy Corner for the good stuff.

Not a good day for Memphis in national rankings. In another ranking that Memphians may not like, the neighborhoods associated with the 38105 and 38106 zip codes were ranked as some of the most dangerous hoods in the country. Florida Street between McLemore Avenue and South Parkway in the 38106 ZIP Code, and North Danny Thomas Boulevard north of Poplar in 38105 were ranked as the 12th and 19th most-dangerous, respectively.

Memphis consumers were also ranked as the worst in the country when it comes to credit ratings.
