Football All Week & Redneck Riviera TV

This must be a football lovers dream. Baseball season is practically over and the ESPN family of networks needs some filler, so starting last Thursday there will be 12 straight days of some type of college or NFL game on TV. Thursday through Monday is normal. This week there will also be games on Tuesday and Wednesday nights as well.

Tuesday night their will be a Sun Belt Conference clash between Troy and Middle Tennessee State on ESPN2. This game will, most likely, determine the Sun Belt Champion. Wednesday night UAB takes Central Florida on ESPN.

I still feel kind of sorry for our friends in Knoxville after this ending. Ouch!

And one more reminder that Titan's defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil is a classy guy.

Speaking of classy, it appears that a new TV show similar to "Jersey Shore" may be in the works for the Gulf Coast. "Redneck Riviera" producers are in the process of scouting locations for the series and this has Gulf Shores politicians worried. This show has great potential with highlights like: airbrushed shirts, mullets, Camaro IROC Z's, references to Bear Bryant, Gator Bait chants and the occasional visit to the Florabama or Cash's. Keep trolls like this off of the show and they might score an Emmy.

I wonder if there is an opportunity for a show like this in Memphis?
