Bottom 10, Heat Experiment, World Series, Sweet Grass

It's a rare occurrence when you find the Memphis Tigers and the Texas Longhorns in the same football rankings. This week both are in the ESPN Bottom 10 rankings. Also receiving votes are our friends from Tennessee-Knoxville.

It was satisfying to see the Miami Heat Experiment go down to the Boston Celtics 88-80 last night. It looks like the patrons at the Whiskey Tango All American Bar & Grill in Hollywood, FL, were the big winners last night. Whiskey Tango agreed to pay for bar tabs of its customers for the Heat's first loss of the season (up to $25 per tab). The final tally was approximately $4,100. Great promotion. Wonder if a Downtown Memphis bar would be willing to make the same commitment?

The World Series starts tonight with the Texas Rangers facing the San Francisco Giants. Many Memphians may be pulling for the Giants with pitcher Matt Cain, formerly of Houston High School. It's hard not to pull for the Rangers, who beat the New York Yankees in the ALCS. Rangers win in six.

I visited Sweet Grass again last night for dinner. Just like my previous visit, the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the yellow fin tuna.
